Ok, I have been slacking but I am back for MOVIE MONDAY with a great one. Most people have heard of the Farrelly brothers, afterall they brought us such classics as There's Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin and Me, Myself & Irene. There is one movie they made, however, that most peple have never heard...they are missing out!

OUTSIDE PROVIDENCE

It is a hilarious comedy about a boy who can't seem to stay out of trouble. The characters are eccentric, but lovable, especially Alec Baldwin as the politically-incorrect single-father. If you can get your hands on this gem, you will not be disappointed.

Wishing for the weekend...an entertaining activity to try with a group of friends is WHIRLYBALL!

 Players ride in bumper cars, and carry a jai-alai type of stick. The objective is to score points by shooting the ball at the center of a backboard. You will need at least 10 players, and courts are usually rented by the hour. Locally, I know there are Whirlyball facilities in Ann Arbor and Howell. If you don't mind getting a little banged up, this game is SO MUCH FUN!

TASTY TUESDAY...let's celebrate with a wine recommendation! I love sweet wines. Probably because I am new to the game, and I have definitely not developed a taste for dry wine yet. Chateau Grand Traverse Late Harvest Reisling is smooth and delicious.

I have found it at Meijer for less than $15, and it pairs perfectly (we discovered by chance at last year's birthday wine tasting at my house) with Garlic Expressions and asiago bread = A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I am giving you a 3-1 deal...enjoy!

My pick is SIMON BIRCH...an inspiring story that will make you laugh and cry! (Not to mention a great cast.)

The moral of the story is that God has a plan for all of us.
